3D Model Exercise 2: Cylindrical Modeling

The inspiration of this modeling work comes from the kitchen modeling based on the cylinder.

1.Pot body and kettle body: Start with a simple cylinder. Adjust the height and radius of the cylinder to the proper proportion. Use ring cutting, incut, extrusion, etc to adjust the shape, and finally use the subdivision smoothing tool to make the edge more rounded, adding materials to reduce the roughness and increase the metal texture, thus forming a smooth metal surface effect.

Handle: The handle of the pot can be created by stretching an elongated cylinder and adjusting the Angle with the appropriate bending tool.

Lid: Also use a shrunken cylinder as the base and squeeze the top slightly to give it a dome-like effect.

2. Modeling of the pan: Again starting with the cylinder, adjust the thickness and diameter to form the bottom of the pan. Scale and squeeze the edges to form the rim.

3.Spades and rolling pins: Rolling pin: Start with an elongated cylinder, add mirror modifiers, scale the ends slightly and squeeze to simulate the hand-held part.

Shovel: Locally scaled, extruded and moved from the handle part of the pot.

4. Cups and saucers: Cup: Start with a smaller cylinder, gradually scale and stretch the upper and lower parts, using ring cuts to make more shape adjustments to form a curve of the cup body. The interior uses internal cutting and extrusion for hollowing.

Saucer: Also starting from the cylinder, lower the height, stretch the edges and bend slightly upward to form the shape of a shallow dish.

5.Finally add material to adjust the roughness and metallic luster, adjust the lighting。
