After low fidelity prototyping, I started making high fidelity pin prototypes.

Feedback:
I showed the initial version to the teacher for review. The teacher gave feedback that the design of some pages was too monotonous and needed to be richer.
So there are the following changes:
In addition to these, I also added a shadow effect to the page part to render it more like a card and more visual impact.
Reference:
In page design, I should pay more attention to color harmony and richness of the page, and not be too single, so as not to make users feel aesthetic fatigue.

This time, I used Figma to redesign the Weibo page. After completing it, I reflected on myself and found the following key issues.
In the design preparation stage, the analysis of the original Weibo page was not in-depth and comprehensive enough, and its core functions and high-frequency operation paths of users were not accurately extracted. This made me prioritize some functional modules improperly when redesigning the layout, affecting the rationality of the overall information architecture, which may reduce the efficiency of users in finding information.
In the visual design process, I paid too much attention to the innovative style, deviated from the user's existing cognitive habits of Weibo in font selection and icon design, and increased the user's cognitive cost. Moreover, the size and spacing of design elements were not rigorous enough. Some buttons were too small and the spacing between elements was too dense, which was not conducive to user operation and interaction on the mobile terminal, especially for the high accuracy of finger touch.
Regarding the use of Figma's tool features, I did not give full play to its team collaboration advantages. When designing alone, I ignored the creation of a standardized component library and style guide, resulting in inconsistent styles of page elements in repeated modifications. If the team collaborates, this will greatly reduce work efficiency and design quality. At the same time, when using Figma's responsive design function, it simply adapts to common screen sizes, without considering the compatibility of special-shaped screens and screens with different resolutions, and the page display may be deformed, truncated, and other problems.
The subsequent improvement direction will mainly focus on in-depth analysis of product functions and user needs, strengthening the awareness of design specifications, improving the usability and standardization of visual design, deepening the learning and application of Figma tool functions, and ensuring that the designed pages can reach a high level in terms of function, vision and compatibility, providing users with a better experience.
